A three-stage creative audio effect built around a simple idea: shape the sound before, transform it in the middle, then decide what happens on the way out.
The Sandwich is designed to be understood from left to right. Bread 1 shapes the incoming signal, the Filling transforms it, and Bread 2 decides how the sound leaves the chain.
Choose a bread effect and shape it with three context-sensitive controls before the centre stage.
The independent centre effect is the main sound-design layer, with four controls for movement, colour and texture.
Use the same effect type as Bread 1, then Link, Mirror or Free the parameter behaviour.
These controls are central to the Sandwich concept because they determine how the two outer stages interact.
Toast adds saturation and colour. Bite is the global dry/wet control. Final output trim and automatic output protection sit after the main effect chain.
The outer Bread stages share one effect type, while the centre Filling can use its own independent four-control process.
Start with something useful, then reshape the sandwich from there.
Bread: filter · Mode: mirror · Filling: reverb or granular · Toast low · Bite 40–60%
Bread: drive · Mode: link · Filling: delay · Toast medium · Bite 30–50%
Bread: orbit or ring mod · Mode: free · Filling: smear or resonator · Bite 50–75%
The Sandwich is deliberately being shared before release so users can find problems that only appear in different DAWs, projects and workflows.
We especially want to know whether the Link / Mirror / Free logic is clear, whether gain changes feel controlled and which effect combinations are actually useful in music.
